Anxiety is a phenomenon where there is feeling of uneasiness to an unknown danger; in contrast fear is the feeling of uneasiness
to a known threat.
#Symptoms
The symptoms of anxiety can be put under two categories:
*Physical symptoms
-Tremors, restlessness, fearful

*Psychological symptoms
-Poor concentration,
hyperarousal, negative thoughts

Tips to combat anxiety
Relaxation techniques
These are useful physical means
of relieving the uneasiness when a person is experiencing anxiety.
-Splash cold water to the face
-Speak to yourself, say ‘I am a
strong person’
-Take deep breath hold it for a
while and then exhale slowly
-Make a tight fist and slowly open the figure one by one
-Counting the numbers in reverse order starting from 100
*Prevention
-Maintain Good and harmonious relationships with family
members and friends
-Be punctual to the work
-Regular daily physical exercises
preferably in the morning
-Sleep hygiene- maintain regular timings for going to sleep and
wake up
-Avoid smoking and alcohol
-Practice yoga, pranamaya and
meditation
-Regularly indulge in the
recreational activity with family
and friends
-Read one inspirational stories at least every month.
